Our Story

Ferndale Veterinary has seen many changes since it first opened its doors in 1947. What started out primarily as a large animal clinic grew into a flourishing mixed animal practice. In 2010, Fortuna Veterinary was added to the group increasing their ability to serve the Eel River Valley community.  

70 years later and two weeks after welcoming Benjamin, their first child, Dr. Kristopher Flores and Jennifer Flores purchased the hospitals from Dr. Chuck Ozanian and Dr. Kevin Silver.  

2016 was a busy year for the Flores, first-time parents, and business owners. In the past 7 years, not only have they added twins, Ryan and Rosa, the hospitals have grown to the point of bursting at the seams with 7 doctors and over 40 support staff.
