Sarah Schroer, DVM

Dr Schroer grew up in the small state of Delaware, and completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science there. She moved to California in 1993 in order to attend graduate school at UC Davis. After finishing a Master’s Degree in Physiology in 1996, she spent two years working in a small community in Ecuador as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Following this great adventure, she came back to California and entered veterinary school at UC Davis.

Dr Schroer began her career as a veterinarian at Ferndale Veterinary in 2003. After four years, she left Ferndale and moved to Sonoma County in search of broader experiences. She spent the next ten years working in both large animal and small animal practices. Finally, she has returned to us in Humboldt County, where she is very happy to get back to both small town life and mixed animal practice.

Dr Schroer spends much of her free time exploring backroads and trails on her bicycle. She shares her home with a feisty orange cat named Ginger.
